Scotland with a Toddler!
Hi Friends,
Scotland was an extension of the Ireland trip. We split our Ireland trip with Scotland. From Northern Ireland we went on a ferry where we were able to bring our rental SUV on. We did the ferry first thing in the morning on Friday and spent the weekend in Scotland. It was short but lovely. We definitely would love to visit Scotland for a longer period of time. The most incredible experience was spending the night in a YURT! It was so cool and such an experience! Clover loved it. It was off of a farm and it was just such an experience. We went to a restaurant (one of the only ones in town) called Lion + Unicorn. They had the BEST truffle dessert that we STILL talk about! We then drove to Inverness Loch Ness to learn more about the βLoch nessβ. It was so cool! We visited Urquhart Castle, a ruined castle that sits beside Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland. Then we ventured back our last day to Edinburgh, where we spent the day shopping, eating yummy Ramen. Yes, Ramen in Scotland. It was delish. Just exploring The Royal Mile. It was an amazing experience. Can't wait to go back! Very Family friendly country!
Another favorite thing was adventuring trying to shoot an iconic Highland cattle. It was our goal for Erik to shoot some Scottish Cows, and we did! It was our fav. We have it framed in our home.
Also HERE is a youtube Vlog we did on our Ireland trip! Would love to incorporate it into the post.
Adding some photos below for reference. :)
