Mom’s Back To School Survival Kit

Hi Friends!

The kid’s may be the ones heading back to the classroom but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t a stressful time of year for mom’s too! That’s why I’ve put together this handy little back to school survival kit of items mom’s need to navigate this busy time of year.

Water Bottle

Some of the worst headaches mom’s can get come from simply being dehydrated. You can prevent those headaches altogether by carrying a stylish water bottle with you as you navigate your day! Add some fruit slices or a flavor packet if you aren’t a fan of plain water, but make sure that you are drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Grab and Go Snacks

Mom’s on the go can often forget to eat and that can lead to low blood sugar which can make you feel bad. Having some fruit you can grab like an apple or a banana, protein bars, or some dried fruit chips can make all the difference in how you feel once you realize you’ve skipped lunch…again.

Portable Charger

Keeping a portable charger in your purse or bag means that you always have a way to charge up your devices (or your kids) if you forget to put them on the charger overnight. You don’t want to lose access to your contacts, calendar, or schedule just because you forgot to charge your phone.

Energy & Immune Boosting Supplements

Back to school season is rough on the immune system for mom’s and kids, but busy mom’s don’t have time to get sick do they? Make sure that you are taking your vitamins and supplements to help your immune system stay strong. Don’t forget to give your kiddos vitamins and probiotics too so maybe they can avoid some of those back to school germs.

Antibacterial Wipes

Speaking of germs, any back to school survival kit worth its salt should have some antibacterial wipes. You can use them for cleaning hands, wiping down cell phones, purse handles, and more.

Wine

You’ve earned it mama! Your back to school survival kit should absolutely contain a bottle (or two) of your favorite wine. Pour yourself a glass to enjoy after the kiddos have gone to bed on that first day back!

Slow Cooker

If you don’t have one you should get one, slow cookers make getting dinner on the table on busy school nights a breeze. Put your ingredients in in the morning, and you’ll come home to a tasty and healthy dinner at the end of the day.

Scented Essential Oils and Lotions

Scented oils and lotions can help to relieve anxiety and give you energy if you are feeling a little run down. Keep a roller bottle of a favorite essential oil or a travel-sized bottle of your favorite scented lotion in your purse or bag.

First Aid Kit

Being prepared for small cuts, bruises, and scratches can help to keep your day moving on along even when the unexpected happens. Make sure to include a few over the counter pain relievers in your first aid kit too.

All of the gear in the world won’t help you survive the busy back to school season if you aren’t taking care of yourself. Make sure that you are getting a good night’s sleep, eating healthy meals, exercising, and taking some time for self-care.

The back to school season can bring both joy and dread in a mom’s life but being prepared can make a huge difference. Do you have any other must have items to include in a mom’s back to school survival kit?

XOXO,
ari
